MY ALLSTATE HORROR STORY

I got Allstate through a car dealer I was buying from. He set it up with an unbelievable rate so I could afford the car. Two weeks after I had the policy Allstate sent a notice saying I was going to be cancelled due to some violations my wife had, which she was unaware of, which turned out to be bogus. I wasn't able to change insurance companies at the time so I called Allstate and got a new rate $375 a month for 2 cars.
I was assured that I was in "Good Hands", everything was setup and good to go. They had all my checking account info to take payments automatically.
July 28 I was in an accident and when I called Allstate, the agent said my policy had been cancelled and there was no record of it being re-instated. She also said there was no record of me setting the policy up through checking account. Apparently the agent I set it up with had quit or been fired; she refused to speak with me. Now I am being sued for $4000.
I am getting a ticket for not having insurance, my car is not getting fixed, two days after the accident I received a second notice saying they could not accept the new re-instated policy that they claimed to have no information about, so obviously they did have it. All they had to do was call or write in a timely manner to tell me I didn't have insurance; not 24 days after I set it up, again.
I don't really know what I can do, so if you guys have any suggestions please let me know.
"There is no incentive for insurance companies to do what is right, such as live up to the promises made in their policies. Tort reformers fueled by insurance money think big business and the insurance industry need to be protected against "runaway juries." It's the other way around. Big business and the insurance industry have always been able to take care of themselves. The little people need protection from them. This country was founded on the common law right of the little guy to get into court with his hired gun to fight the oppressor, be it big government or big business. Take that away and we have nothing left. Look around. It's being whittled away, bit by bit, caps on damages here, restrictions on jury trials there. It won't end until we recognize the enemy and join together to take a stand against them. It will take the little people to do this together".
